This training service provides practical steps for business owners and SME company directors to understand governance and execute their legal and financial duties as a director. 

Training Objective: To provide business owners and directors with the skills and knowledge to effectively lead and govern their organisations. 

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this training, participants will be able to: Understand the role of governance and how it is different from management. Identify your roles and responsibilities as a company director. Comply with New Zealand's legal requirements for directors. Understand the different options for structuring governance for SMEs. Explore practical case histories to apply their governance thinking. Take steps to improve your governance skills through useful resources and further upskilling.

David Glover from Creative Strategies is the Facilitator for the Governance workshop.  David Glover is a Chartered Director with the NZ Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management and Leadership. He is an entrepreneur and marketer with 25 years' CEO, Chair and board experience working with both corporates and small business in NZ and overseas. He has led multinational companies, founded and mentored start-up businesses and won awards for creativity, innovation and leadership.
