using empathy to create better outcomes.

Join us for breakfast as some of Aurecon's female leaders share how they've leveraged empathic thinking to become 'sense makers' who cut through the chaos to make better decisions.

What you can expect:

Mana wahine from across our engineering, planning, sustainability and resilience, communications expertise will share their experiences in a short, sharp format with time for questions, and an opportunity for your to connect with our speakers and each other.

Erica Walker

Erica is a Transport Planner based in Tauranga with 17 years of experience across the United Kingdom and New Zealand.  Her technical expertise extends across several areas including policy and design, public transport planning, spatial planning, travel demand management, road danger reduction and strategies to enable walking and cycling.

Harriet McKee

Harriet is a Senior Planner and Associate in Aurecon's Advisory group, and the leader of the Tauranga, Hamilton, and Auckland planning teams.  She has 17 years of experience in land development and infrastructure projects across the motu.  Harriet is a solution-focussed professional who thrives on balancing all elements of her role to help achieve great outcomes for her clients and her team at Aurecon.

Hayley Martin

Hayley is a Senior consultant in Tauranga's Sustainability and Resilience Team, with experience in both the public and private sectors of New Zealand and the United Kingdom.  She is passionate about mitigating and adapting to the effects of climate change and enjoys applying the breadth of sustainability thinking in her work.  Hayley is an Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) and enjoys working with project teams across our industry to ensure that sustainability is considered across all aspects of infrastructure delivery.

Jodie Hurley

Jodie brings detailed knowledge, from her 20+ year career of working in Tauranga, to the delivery of engineering solutions for multiple infrastructure projects across the region.  Her roles include governance and project management across stormwater, wastewater, and transportation projects, and setting up successful and diverse delivery teams for the design, procurement, and supervision of infrastructure. 

Lisa Mills

Lisa is a communications and stakeholder engagement specialist, based in the bay, with over 14 years of experience working in science and research, local and central government and iwi organisations.  Her work brings mana whenua, communities, and stakeholders into project planning, paving the way for successful projects with good outcomes for clients and the community.

Pip Browne

Pip is a Tauranga based Senior Engineer with over 26 years of experience in planning, developing, and implementing a wide range of transport projects in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.  Her background includes a strong transport and design technical base knowledge which includes intersections, urban and rural carri9ageways, cycleways and public transport integrated solutions.  She brings with her first-hand expertise from private, Waka Kotahi and local government projects.

 
Cancellation Policy:  Registrations not cancelled via email by 10.00am the day prior to the event will require payment, 
however, substitutions are welcome.
