Contributing over $4billion to the GDP, the Volunteering sector is crucial to the sustainability of New Zealand’s economy. Since 2005, Volunteering Bay of Plenty has been connecting communities who are involved and interested in Volunteering.

Our mission is to provide vital advocacy and consulting services that connect our communities and champion Volunteering excellence across our region. By supporting Organisations and Volunteers with a range of services we help:

• Volunteers to actively engage in the community (thereby improving their physical and mental health), to make a difference in the lives of others, and to learn new skills that is a known pathway to employment and study
• Non-profit organisations to recruit, lead and retain Volunteers by creating excellent Volunteering experiences
• Corporates and SMEs to achieve their Corporate Social Responsibility and/or Sustainable Development Goals
• Our local BOP Councils’ Emergency Response Services through managing their Volunteer Projects in times of crisis and disaster
