Aerocool Rescue Helicopter would love you to join them for breakfast and to learn about what goes into every lifesaving mission. 

This is your opportunity to ask all the questions you’ve ever had about what they do and how they do it. You’ll also hear the most up to date numbers and types of missions the crew attend plus get a first-hand patient story from one of our past patients. Provided the crew are not called away to a mission you will get the opportunity to have a look through the rescue helicopter and speak to crew. 

Your Aerocool Rescue Helicopter has been known by a few different names since first starting operation in 2000. Over this time it has always been the rescue helicopter serving in our backyard and beyond, covering the Bay of Plenty and Coastal region.

They’re located at the rear of Tauranga Hospital at the Ian Payne Memorial Hangar on Clarke Street. 

There is a carpark on Clarke Street alongside the hangar, this is a Patient & Visitor carpark for the hospital so you are welcome to park there if there are any spaces available. Otherwise there is on-street parking on 17th Ave.
