POSTPONED - Fair pay agreements and dealing with unions

Wednesday, 29 November 2023 (10:00 AM - 12:00 AM) (NZDT)

Description

Fair pay agreements and dealing with unions

The fair pay agreement legislation commenced last year and bargaining has commenced in various industries. At the same time, many employers are facing greater union interest in their workplaces. What will this new fair pay framework mean for employers, including for those employers where union involvement has to date been limited or non-existent? How do employers ensure their interests are represented, and how practically will the agreements work?

Join us at this session for guidance on what fair pay agreements may mean for your workforce and from an employer compliance perspective, what the bargaining process and outcome may look like, and what could happen if we have a change in Government in 2023. We also will discuss collective agreements and for tips around engaging with unions.
