Learning objectives:

• Overview of ways to use videos in your social media 
• How to plan out a reel 
• Using filters 
• The different features on reels and how to find and use them in Instagram 
• How to repurpose a reel to use on other platforms like Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts 
• Using Canva to make your reels and covers 
• Other apps you can use to make videos outside of Instagram 
• How to optimise your reels with hashtags, captions, location and other accounts 
• Using reels to collaborate with other accounts

Learning outcomes:

• Learn how to save music, reels for inspiration and different templates in collections on Instagram 
• Record short videos on your phone and use reel templates to create a reel with tagging other accounts and locations 
• Make a “talking head” video with captions 
• Create a reel from scratch with music 
• Create a reel with video clips and photos with a voice over and music 
• Learn how to post a reel and edit the cover image and prole grid image

Make sure you bring your phone fully charged and a charger in case you need it during the session. 

Please make sure you have Instagram installed on your phone and updated your Instagram app to the latest version BEFORE the workshop. Come 15 minutes early if you need help to do this before the workshop
