MC'ed by IoD chief executive, Kirsten Patterson, our distinguished panel of speakers will share their experiences, insights and strategies on increasing women's participation in governance, the challenges women face in leadership positions, and the benefits of having more women in decision-making roles.

KP is the Chief Executive of the Institute of Directors. She is a qualified lawyer and a Distinguished Fellow of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand. With extensive governance and leadership experience, Kirsten will add some entertaining flare with the guest panelists, ensuring the audience leaves with thought-provoking insight

Our Speakers:

  • Ana Morrison

Ana Morrison (Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Arawa, Pākehā) is an experienced governor and executive leader with expertise in Te Ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and Equity within governance and organisational practice.

With 13 years of governance experience across local, regional, and national organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand, Ana brings a wealth of knowledge in corporate services, tertiary education, legal risk management, and health & social services. She is currently also the Chair of the Rotorua District Licensing Committee.

Ana holds a BSc/LLB from the University of Auckland, a Postgraduate Certificate in Corporate Governance from Victoria University of Wellington, and is a member of the Institute of Directors.

  • Fiona Carrick

Across her governance portfolio, Fiona is a Member of Te Nehenehenui Trust Group Investment Committee and serves on the boards of Kiwifruit Vine Health Inc, Stihl Shop, JerseyNZ, Maugnahururu Tangiutū Ltd, Kaiwaka JV, and the Home of Cycling Charitable Trust (Grassroots Velodrome).

Fiona brings deep commercial, risk, financial and strategic skills, and her emphasis on sustained and authentic stakeholder engagement shapes the effective partnerships she forges and leads within organisations and across industries.

Fiona’s commercial experience includes roles as Chief Executive of Te Waka (the Waikato Regional Economic Development Agency) and GM Risk at Fonterra.

If your payment is not fully completed 3-working days prior to the event, your registration will automatically be cancelled. Contact events@tauranga.org.nz if you have any questions.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received prior to 10am the day before the event. Any cancellation and/or changes must be made in writing to events@tauranga.org.nz

Cancellations after this time or non-attendance will require payment, however substitutions are welcome.
