Hospice Awareness Week is a national campaign recognising the vital role hospice care plays in our communities. This year, Waipuna Hospice is calling on the business community to help protect and sustain its free palliative care services for people living with terminal illness in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty.
With government funding covering only 44% of their operating costs, Waipuna Hospice must raise $8.1 million to continue delivering essential care and support to nearly 900 patients and their whānau each year.
