Microsoft Cyber Security
Is a vital topic in today’s digital world, where hackers and cybercriminals can compromise our personal and professional data. In this seminar, we will cover several key aspects of cyber security including topics such as passwords, phishing and hacking. We will discuss the importance of strong and unique passwords, how to avoid falling victim to phishing scams, and how to protect our devices and networks from hacking attacks. By the end of this seminar, you will have a better understanding of the risks and challenges of cyber security, and how to safeguard your online identity and information leveraging Microsoft technologies.

Microsoft Teams Meetings (Types, Apps and more)
Teams Meetings are something we use every day, and yet most of us only know the basics. In this session, we will dive in deeper and talk about the different types of Microsoft Teams Meetings that are available and the additional things that we can do inside of a meeting including Polling, Whiteboarding, and more. You will leave with knowledge that you will be able to use immediately and be more effective and productive in your meetings.

The Presenters
David Hodge and Aaron Webb are both Partner Service Coordinators for Synergy Technologies. They are both passionate about technology with IT engineering and consulting backgrounds. Between them they have around 30 years industry experience ranging from desktop support to enterprise systems both in New Zealand and internationally. David lives in Tauranga with his wife and teenage children and is involved with Neighbourhood Support outside of work. Aaron also resides in Tauranga with his family and spends his free time cycling and spending time with family and friends.

Erik Droutman is a former long-time Microsoft employee who has extensive experience with Microsoft 365. In 2008, he migrated the fourth ever customer to what we now call Office 365, and was one of the original Office 365 Architects. He has extensive experience helping Financial Services, Manufacturing, and Government customers with Microsoft 365 in both technical and business consulting roles. and specifically with Teams. He has spoken at both internal Microsoft Conferences as well as Microsoft Ignite. He now lives in Wellington with his wife and dog, and his son is currently a student at Victoria University.
