Senior Project Manager at Veros

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Julie Price to a Senior Project Manager. Since joining Veros in 2019, Julie has established herself as an industry leader in the Project Management industry and within our organisation.

On Julie’s promotion, Managing Director, Morgan Jones says, “Julie’s international experience in the UK and Australia really shines through in her understanding of and ability to lead large and multi-faceted projects. Her authentic approach inspires and pulls together teams, so they are working in unison and all towards the same goal. Julie’s experience across many different projects from start to finish now means that she can anticipate issues and set projects up with the finish in mind. We are pleased to recognise her skills and leadership with this promotion.”

“Julie is a key leader in our team as we continue to grow our reputation as the leading project management and project delivery team in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.”

At the heart of what Veros do is connect clients with experienced people who know what they are doing and can partner with them to help them achieve their project goals. Julie lives and breathes the company ethos in bringing a genuine and authentic approach to projects to deliver the best outcome for each project.

“One of the things I love most about working at Veros is the people and culture, with family values at the core of the business. It’s great to be part of the growing Project Management team, with the opportunity to learn from others with such varied backgrounds and be able to share my knowledge and experience.” says Julie.

Originally being from Rotorua, and having grown up in provincial New Zealand, Julie is genuinely invested in the growth and success stories of our regions. She has delivered significant projects in tourism, public realm, education, and commercial sectors which are all critical ingredients to the investment, job creation and revitalisation of our regions. One significant and ongoing project Julie has been working on for the last 18 months is the Rotorua Lakefront Redevelopment.

“Being of Te Arawa descent makes working on projects like the Rotorua Lakefront even more rewarding. It’s crazy to think I used to play on the old pirate ship down at the lakefront when I was a kid and now, I’ve been a part of its $40m transformation into a world-class attraction, in particular the playground where I can watch my own children and nieces and nephews play – it’s very special.”

Other projects that Julie is working on include the Tertiary Trades Training Centre in South Waikato, the Kulim Park upgrade, and Omanawa Falls.

“Working on projects that directly benefit the community and seeing the positive impact it has with my own eyes is the best part of my job. I didn’t think that when I started my career as a Project Manager that I’d get to call Omanawa Falls my office for the day. It’s been a privilege to learn about such a beautiful place and help mana whenua and the community achieve their aspirations of reopening this taonga for everyone to enjoy.”

Julie has a passion for delivering excellent results for clients and is currently leading some of the most exciting projects we have underway. She is truly invested in each project she works on, going that extra mile for clients, a strong leader not only at Veros but in the community too.
